He leads me....

besides peaceful streams. Psalm 23:2

On the last day of September God brought to my attention Isaiah 41:17-20.

SO what does that mean?

HOW did God lead me to Isaiah 41?

Having taken some time to be with God and deciding that I wanted to spend some time in a scripture, I asked God to direct me to the passage that he want me in. Then I listen - the word Isaiah came to mind along with the number 41. So I turned to Isaiah 41 and read until I arrived at these verses that seemed just for me.

It was firstly verse 17 “ the poor and needy search for water and there is none….then I, the Lord, will answer them”.

This has been a theme for my life. I call out to God and he answers me.

Then possibly the extravagant imagery of water; fountains, pools, rivers and springs and trees (7 different types). But it was also the idea of God’s power to create something in barren places, so that those who see this miracle will know it was the Lord who did it. So I stopped and spent a chunk of time in these verses.

Listening takes practice, and yes there is a level of weird and trust that is required 😉

but I encourage you. ASK . SEEK . KNOCK God hears and will answer.

Talk with friends about how and what God is showing you.
